Today I’m writing about a fantastic new gift set that is perfect for any aspiring Bond girl.
In celebration of 50 years of James Bond, and inspired by the release of the new 007 film Skyfall, O.P.I have released a set of mini nail varnishes called The Bondettes.
The Skyfall Bondettes set contains four unique 3.75 ml nail lacquers, all of which have their own classic Bond film title:
Golden Eye - “All eyes will be upon you when you wear this glorious gold.”
The Spy Who Loved Me – “A red as romantic as the secret agent inside you”
The World is Not Enough – “This rosy silver is as addictive as it is beautiful”
Live And Let Die – “Burn the candles at both ends in this private jet black”
O.P.I’s The Bondettes are available at Beautytime Health & Beauty Clinic now, while stocks last.

Colour Analysis is very much a hot topic in the glossy magazines this month, both locally and nationally. Anna Turn from Devon Life writes about a visit to a House of Colour representative located in West Devon and Good Housekeeping magazine dedicates four pages to colour confidence and the importance of picking out the right shades in order to make the most of your skin tone and colouring. Good Housekeeping goes on to highlight three companies where you can find a consultant in your area:
If you are located in South Devon, the best place to have a colour analysis is Beautytime Health and Beauty Clinic in Bovey Tracey. Why? Because your colour analysis is carried out by the beauty salon owner, Sarah Brewer, who has over 15 years experience as a colour image consultant.
It is the perfect way to establish which colours bring out the best in you. Some colours make us look slimmer, healthier and more radiant whereas other colours can make us look pale and drawn. In many ways this one-off treatment can be seen as an investment. No more wasting money on the wrong colour clothes and make-up.
Prices at Beautytime are certainly more affordable, starting at just £59*. You will also be able to take away with you a swatch of your new colours. This is particularly useful to have with you when out clothes shopping or choosing make-up.
A colour analysis is a unique way of improving how you look and giving yourself a great confidence boost. So before you go out and spend a fortune on your new winter wardrobe be sure to book a colour analysis at Beautytime first.
* prices correct at time of writing. Please check our colour analysis webpage for the most up to date price.
To book your colour analysis, or to find out more information, please call Beautytime on 01626 835381.
This Friday 14th September on ITV1 at 4:00pm you can catch My Tasty Travels With Lynda Bellingham. This week Lynda Bellingham, who is well known as a presenter on Loose Women and for appearing in Oxo ads, visits Beautytime’s home town of Bovey Tracey in South Devon. The programme will focus on Bovey Tracey’s annual Contemporary Craft Fair where the presenter meets some of the artists.
The episode also features Lynda learning how to prepare the perfect scone at one of Devon’s “most prestigious hotels” and participates in a culinary challenge to make a pizza in just three minutes. You’ll also be able to watch the show on itvPlayer after the transmission date.
A colour image consultant will make you aware of which colours work best for you as an individual, and even which colours you should avoid. Establishing your best colours will, quite simply, improve your appearance and make you look more healthy.
The purpose of a colour image consultancy – also known as a colour analysis – is to help you build confidence through the use of colour. The process establishes the best aspects of personal style and appearance through the use of colour for your wardrobe, make-up, hair and jewellery.
Knowing which colours flatter you best will enable you to make the most of your wardrobe. Shopping for clothes and make-up becomes easier and more successful. It eliminates unwise clothing choices which saves you time and money. Considering most of us only regularly wear about 15% of our existing wardrobe it will give you the opportunity to purchase only clothing that will be both flattering and boost your confidence. Knowing your right colours is particularly useful when choosing the right outfit for interviews, weddings and special occasions.
Firstly, book an appointment with a trained and experienced colour image consultant. One session is all you need and should last at least an hour. Any make-up that you might be wearing should be removed. The majority of the session is spent in front of a mirror while different shades of numerous coloured drapes are placed on your chest area so that you can see the difference the various colours make to you. This process establishes whether you have a cool or warm skin tone and also which seasonal category you come under, e.g. warm Autumn.

After the colour analysis you can take away your own colour swatch to help you make choices when out shopping for clothes and make-up
Once your colour analysis is complete you will receive a detailed wallet containing your best colours which you can keep in your handbag, making it easy to refer to when out clothes shopping or buying make-up.

Over the coming months, as part of the Beautytime monthly newsletter, each beauty therapist will be selecting their favourite beauty product. This month we are starting with Sophie’s choice:
“I love the St. Tropez Everyday Mousse. It dries instantly and leaves your skin with a natural tan which isn’t too obvious but makes people ask if you have been on holiday. It doesn’t have the tell tale smell that some fake tans do and being a mousse it is really easy to apply. I highly recommend it! : )”
St. Tropez Everyday Mousse is available at Beautytime for £20.00
